Thanks for that Andy. As I am off to Spain tomorrow. What if I were to put some Blue Tack round the pillar? Do you think that might sort it out pro-tem? Andrew Kennedy |

Andy - I think I misunderstood what you meant by "pillar". I think now you were referring to is the pillar between the two side windows? My leak is on the pillar running up at an angle from the bonnet up to the car roof. Does that one simple prise off? cannot see a way of getting if off. Andrew Kennedy |

Just pop out the small oval airbag grommet, unto torx headed screw underneath, pull out a little as there are a couple of plastic pins that locate in the bodywork, lift slightly should then come off. The torx screw will proabaly stay in the trim as it is gripped by a couple of plastic lugs.

The windscreeen pillar is held on with one bolt under the airbag logo. As previously stated.

Could remove the trim and get someone to spray a hosepipe over the area outside while looking from inside, might prove something.

Had one hell of a storm last night and the water is really coming in now. I'm going to tape over the factory fitted roof rails in the hope that will solve the problem. When I get back (or maybe when I am on holiday) I'll take the rails off and have a look round - cant find anything online re how to take them off but I presume it just a matter of taking off the black round blanks and taking off a couple of screws???? Sunroof drain tubes probably need sealant applying and putting back into the sunroof tray. |

Not the best picture, might have to drop headlining a bit to get to it.

RAIN COMING IN ...solved! One of the drain pipes situated in the "sunshine roof" cutter had become 'kinked' and was allowing water to come in on the head lining near the door pillar. Andrew Kennedy |
