I renewed the offside catch whenI bought the Rangie about 7 years ago and had no problems until now.
When I hit a bump the offside unlatches with the warning on the dash.
When I stop I can push the offside bonnet down and I can hear it click and I can lock the car.
All seems ok with the latch, well lubed and clean so just wondering if it’s worth loosening the 2 bolts and trying to move the latch up a mil or two?
Any thoughts welcome.

Yes, worth a try. I've done the same with mine before now and it helped.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The cables can get stretched/stick, which is what happens with mine, meaning the catch doesn't engage. I know to push the driver's side (offside) lever (where the cable ends) with a screwdriver as far as possible to the left before shutting the bonnet so that it engages.
This may be what is happening with yours and the lever is not fully engaging, so that a bump will allow it to open. Ultimately you may have to replace the cables but also lubing the mechanism so that the lever returns freely is something else you can do.

Thanks Guys, Sod’s law it’s behaved all week until today, so cleaned up again and lubricated but still not latching—I could pull up the offside still so loosened the bolts and lifted the latch about 1 mil which seems to have worked,
Will know better on Monday with a trip over the Cotswolds.
Ever since getting the Rangie I have had to ensure the release lever is pushed back into position so maybe a more thorough exam of the cables and where they connect will be next job.

If your saying the bonnet pull lever is slack I’d get the cables changed asap👍

Had an X5 that did that and I was stuffed when the cables broke and no way to get bonnet open 🤬

I ignored it for months as just one of those things …….

Mine just gave up but I did not notice it had just got slacker .

Well 120 miles over some fairly rough roads yesterday and no unlatching so all good for now.
Will check the cables once the weather/light improves. : but lifting the latch about a mil seems to have sorted it .
