Help! IPOD CONNECTION ON BASE CAR

Hi,

I have just took delivery of my 07 MY 'S' TDV6 - I looked in the rear of the car and to my horror realised there is no 'Aux' input on the 'S'. I was hoping to use a 3.5mm jack connection straight into my ipod. Does anyone know how I can now input the tunes from my ipod? Rolling Eyes

There was some recent talk about retrofitting an AUX port to those cars that don't have it as standard. Do a search for "AUX" and you should find what you're looking for... Very Happy

You could use the FM transmitter things like

Or the Denison thing

Or spend a bit more and have

Are the FM transmitters legal in the UK? If they are, they never used to be.

I think that they will soon be. Seem to remember that the law is changing soon. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Garv, I had a the Aux panel fitted to my base model RRS and despite having the connections there, it does not work....my dealer was back and forth with LR several times and in the end they just said it won't work (LR that is). I am taking mine to an audio place that will hardwire an iPod connector directly into the headunit and I can have the connector either in the centre console or the glovebox. Much better than running leads over and into the back (well if it worked Rolling Eyes ). It also charges the iPod. Cost in Australia is about $A300. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

Thank you for all of your advice - I have tried the transmitters but they tend to get interupted by the amount of pirate radio in London so i will ask the company that are fitting my phone kit to wire it straight in to the head unit - I think this is the safest option as I'm not too handy with a soldering iron!
