So, can it be done?

A post 2010 dash in a pre 2010 vehicle?

it should technically be possible as the body shell dimensions for l320 did not change. However, there's going to be a huge ammount of modification required, which may make it easier to just fit the same type.
this is one job i have to do....it looks like it's gonna be horrible to remove. my idea was to use a re trimer to do a full re trim, if that turns out to be too expensive, i'll have to buy 2nd hand from an 07 car...as late a version as possible.

A good while ago there was a thread about this - someone actually did it. Might need to spend some time using the forum's search facility.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
