upper tailgate switch

ive got a new switch being delivered today for the upper tailgate as mine wont open. to remove the old switch is it jut as simple as popping it out with a flathead screwdriver? had a look last night but it was going dark and didnt want to mess around too much until the new switch was here. thankyou

Not difficult.

Just as an afterthought on this one …. I replaced my switch a year or so ago … was tight and bought a chindian replacement instead of OEM …. All works fine, however, when it’s wet, there’s quite a lot of colour transfer onto my fingers when I use it … so much so, that I tend to open the entire tailgate when wet to avoid dirty fingers / SWMBO moaning about my ‘stupid’ car!

Hope yours doesn’t colour you in!
