Advance Factors have the Nissens one listed at half the price of a genuine L/R one.

Yup! The garage is ordering a Nissens radiator for me. Should all be fixed in the next couple of days. |

Finally got around to changing the radiator. I’m now stuck at the first hurdle of trying to remove the fan. It is well and truly stuck; however, someone said it’s reverse thread.

yeah it's the worse part of the job if it's not been off for years.

Got the tools. One to hold the 3 bolts of the water pump and the other to undo the fan itself. It is so stuck on. Smacked it with a hammer and also rocked it with my full body weight. I might have to warm it up with a blow-torch but I don’t really want to do that due to possible damage.

Just to throw it out there, you know it’s left hand thread, right?

I didn’t know whether if it’s a left hand thread or not. Thank you for confirming that. I tried to use the spanners both left and right to no avail. I will try the hammer method tomorrow. |
