Heated Mirrors Activation- When?

Hi,

Does anyone know what parameters are needed for the car to decide to heat up the wing mirror glass?

Is it just outside temp?
Is it when the FBH is activated?
Is it when MAX or front screen/ rear screen heating is activated?

Thanks L319 D4 HSE

On my early one they seam to be on most of the time the ignition is on. Pulsed on and off.

The manual claims some connection to the wipers being on, but no one told the software engineers.

As an aside to this anyone had their mirror glasses stolen.. I’m hearing there is a bit of a mini crime wave in the Midlands with Range Rover mirrors being stolen.. what more can we tolerate?

Hi,

I broke one a while ago - well a transit van did!!

At £205 for a replacement glass (L494 AB) - I’m not surprised that light fingered Larry is having them away!

Folding mirrors in on narrow roads / country lanes is now standard practice- SWMBO even taught it to the LRE instructor when she did her 1/2 day course!!!
