Premium tyre vs cheapo tyres

Further to a recent discussion on a tyre thread regarding cheap tyres, I thought it might be useful to post this video as an example of cheap tyres vs a premium tyre. The results are clear to see.

 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Perhaps that's because all the cheapo "ditchfinder" brands are manufactured elsewhere and just imported into the U.K.

Mobility only fit premium banded tyres to their fleet - they don't always fit them in pairs or 100% match them, but they will always be premium such as Michelin.
Mobility are really cheapscate so if el-cheapo tyres were cost-effective you would think that they would fit them (especially when a car is coming up to the end of the lease.

Says it all really. 2006 RRS 2.7 HSE.

"But they get a huge discount because they buy so many .. $$$ count".

You can of course prove that ?

Of course you can't - your latest "argument" hols as much water as a collander - if that was the case they would save even more money by specifying "cheap" or even mid-range tyres.

Oh, BTW, I thought we used £'s in the UK. 2006 RRS 2.7 HSE.

And yet you were happy to tell people to buy cheap based on what happens in Australia. Whistle 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
