I got an email today advising that my car which had a build date of late October with delivery of mid November, has now been 'unslotted' - no reason given. It is now in a 'confirmed' state which apparently means they are considering the order for re-slotting.

Got the car today at Solihull - wonderful car and the MY24 changes are stunning. Love the new Pivi Pro interface with shortcuts. 150+ mile journey home so plenty of time to enjoy the ride..

Looks fantastic JDPRRSUK - I've gone for the same wheels. Looking back - you started this thread back in April when you placed your order. given all the horror stories on here about what times - how on earth have you managed to get your vehicle so fast?

I wasn’t anticipating it coming so quickly but even on the configurator the diesel MHEV’s are quoted as 3-6months delivery. Having been at the factory twice in as many months, it is clear they are gearing up for more PHEV’s and the transition to full electric.

Perhaps they have accelerated the diesels to make way?

Given the number of diesels on the LR used car website it certainly looks that way, and well below list price now. Tim

Yes, I got a new build completion date of 24th November with a delivery to dealer date of 8th December.

As previously mentioned, I cancelled my original P440e AB order back in September for several reasons. I have now placed a new order through work to take advantage of the low benefit-in-kind rate on hybrid models.

This time I have gone for a P550e Autobiography in Giola Green.

I have noticed that the stormer handling pack is finally available as an option for all models, but I decided it made more sense to just go for a P550e AB where it is standard spec rather than order a P460e AB with the stormer pack added on.

I recently popped into my local dealership to check out the 24MY interior updates i.e. the removal of the climate and terrain response controls. Whilst I generally prefer the physical buttons, this change is not a deal breaker for me as the way JLR have integrated the controls on the screen is pretty good in my opinion.

I am expecting a long wait for the car so it will probably be 25MY by the time I get it anyway!

Got a call last week to say my car was at the dealer and that it would be ready for pick up this Thursday after the PDC and dealer options are fitted. So it will be farewell to my excellent D5 HSE Luxury and hullo to my new RRS P460E AB - hope it is as good as the D5. Delivery time from order - 4.5 months.
