Cannot find the thread about blocking The erg system but why cannot I block it off adjacent to the butterfly casing ...easy access etc....
From what I have read you can leave the butterfly as it is and block of the pipes ..??? Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

I think it's difficult as there are pointed things on the end so it's not easy.
Also the pipes may still get hot and melt the top of the engine

Some kits show 4 plates and a top hat design ..can you clarify on that?

The top hat ones enable you to remove the whole pipe with a plate at the lower end and the top hat and O rings at the butterfly end. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.
