Could be something as simple as a sticky or faulty button?

I have had a similar issue with one of my cars previously whereby the car was receiving what it thought was spurious messages in the can network and seemed to shut that component down . This was rectified by disconnecting the car battery for five minutes and then reconnecting.. bizarrely it worked and the component started working perfectly again…it’s worth a try! |
