Based on my experience and collective wisdom od the forums, I believe a sticking turbo actuator would throw a P132 and "Restricted Performance" message on the drivers' display. However a hairline split on the manifold, intercooler or hoses would fit the original description. Regards etc.,

Sorry to say those were the symptoms when my turbos went. There was a little 'pop', followed by no power but no warning lights. M |

I have a recurring "Restricted performance" issue sometimes and it is the left (pass side in the UK) turbo actuator sticking - the relevant code is always stored if this happens and I am always greeted with the red triangle, usually in the middle of passing a truck. I think it happens when I suddenly demand too much from the car, like queuing behind the said truck at 40 mph for 5 minutes in 5th or 6th and then downshifting and flooring it. That said it happened to me also at 80 mph when I pushed for a high-speed run in Germany. Funny thing, the car sounds insane when this occurs, like if all the mufflers have been removed (I assume the turbo vanes are stuck wide open). It is always resolved with a power cycle when the actuator is reset. By the words of my indy, spraying it with grease or WD40 from the outside will not cure it, as it is the soot deposited in the inside of the hot side of the turbo that makes the vanes stick. Tried a 'turbo cleaner' fuel additive with (supposedly) cerium oxide but can't say if it was placebo or did it really help. What does help though is IMHO some more spirited driving, Italian tuneup style. If someone devised a method to clean the hot side of the turbo without removing it (and lifting the body off) with the chemicals LRTime used to clean his turbo in the bucket, I'd be the first to try. P023D says your turbo output didn't meet the engine demand, however the P010's indicate a discrepancy in sensor readings, as if some air has been "lost" in calculations. I think the turbos not giving equal output (P010F) happens because of P023D (sticky actuator?) but don't know if P010C calls for a new sensor? Regards etc.,
