Rear suspension upper arm bump stops?

So guys just fitting one of these now and reading the workshop manual bump stops (illustrated in blue in photo) should be installed. Just that they weren’t in the old arm which has genuine Land Rover stamp on bushing so presume it’s OE and the new one which is a Moog replacement wasn’t supplied with them either. Question is, are they needed? Thanks.

That's quite odd that, apart from the illustration you posted there are other's in the workshop that distinctly show the bump stops, unfortunately they are not listed as a separate part in the part's list so would assume the come with or are part of the bush, I think DM might be the man to give you a answer to your question, but you would like to think if L/R say they should be there then they would be, but then again this is L/R we are talking about.

Cheers

Thanks Col, yeah, I’ve had a look at the other side on my car and they’re not installed there either. I’ve looked on the internet and can’t find them available aftermarket. There are listings for the complete upper arm assembly which some show them installed and some don’t. Oh what to do???

Out of curiosity I had a quick look at my own car, not that easy to see with wheel on but it doesn't appear to have anything like that fitted either but as I say can't really see that well, it's never had arms or bushes replaced either.

Cheers

Only fitted to D3. RRS has a different design of bush, and bump stops are not fitted Thumbs Up
