2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

MPG readings?

Has anyone calibrated their average fuel economy reading?

Mine appears to be consistently reading 2mpg over

I was so pleased when I apeared to be managing 30mpg consistently, but now I fear it is only 28!

maybe the pump needs to be calibrated

It reads 2MPG over whatever it IS doing. ie when I am getting 28MPG it reads 30MPG, when I am getting 27MPG it reads 29MPG.

I have used a rather rough method, but it returns consistent results. Simply zero the odometer when I have filled the tank, when the tank is close to empty fill it up again and record the mileage and litres necessary to refil to full (divide the fuel used by the mileage covered).

I have done this 4 times, and all readings are around 27-28MPG (car reads around 29-31PMG).

Give it a go, and let me know what results you get?

mine was reading 36 + coming back from norfolk at the weekend @ 70 MPH average has 3200 on the clock and milage seems to be getting better

thats if the reading is to be trusted

I did a quick run to Gatwick (155 miles) and checked the figures when I refueled....averaged 15.6mpg. Not as good as I thought it was going to be! L319 D4 HSE

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Just used my 1st tankful since getting home and 75ltrs lasted 496 miles of everyday motoring. I'm taking off for a weekend in the New Forest this afternoon so it will be interesting to see if the last software upgrade has improved the tuning enough to crack the 34mpg on 500 mile motorway run south. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My tank gives me 100 miles, 120 tops

I just changed the upper pulley, the xhaust, belt and tensioner.
Whats the deal?

FUEL IS AWFULL HERE!
I have to put 2 nitrous octane boosters each tank. at 10 pounds each, 18 us each, imagine.
Im tored.
I was happy with my old 1999 p38, 4.6 HSE, rpi v8 cam, ECU, oxy sensors, exhaust.275 miles in city, 350 in highway!
I want it back!!!!

You need to make sure you have a" full " tank - ie when you say "fill up" are you sure its filled up to exactly the same point in the tank each time ... ?? I can get petrol pumps to click off several times when filling mine up

I hope mine under-reads - averaging 12.7 at the moment. Got it down to below 6 when hauling up the M1 the other day.

Also managed to get 88.5 litres in.
