Anyone got a P460e build date yet?

Just thought I'd ask as not seen any and I ordered mine as a P440e last year then the dealer converted to a P460e 24MY but not heard anything more. Regards

Not me sadly. Order was placed April 22. Was told last month I would be getting a MY24 now but no more news other than that.

Ordered P440 Dynamic late August 22 and was originally told 12m, but still no build slot. I was told I’m the first in line when the dealer gets the allocation of P460….but sounds like it could be rubbish. i can see plenty of people on this forum with build slots for P460’s for September.

I understood that it is JLR central team that allocate builds and not dealers. My dealer definitely keeps saying they have no control on what cars they get delivered. Not sure on the JLR criteria for build slots but I would guess parts availability and maximum profit from each car. Regards

I went into my Vertu dealer yesterday to find out what was going on with my Aug 22 order. Got the great news that I’m unlikely to see it before March-July 24. The 12 months I was quoted is going to turn into 2 years, turns out they didn’t officially place my order until early September.

They then suggested I purchase one of the many stock D300 as a stop gap.

Beginning to feel like I am being played, anyone know if they can keep moving your order internally to bump up preferred customers? ——————————————

A very similar experience to mine and hence the reason for cancelling my order and moving on. I'm amazed that so many owners are putting up with this situation. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

I've got two P460e on order now - first one was ordered last year and another in July with the intention that it will take 12 months to come.

With regards to the first P460e coming I've now escalated this through the JLR customer services team to see if they can bump my order up the queue. Sounds hopeful they said and do keep in touch ever 48hrs with a call. Regards

Some dealers get more allocations than others depending on their size and history. Within a dealer they can prioritise one customer over another until the order is ‘confirmed’ by JLR. Then you should start to see potential build dates and dates for last changes etc. Diesels being prioritised at present to get them out of the door before they focus more on hybrids and full electric.

The LR Dealer I use has always stated that they cant prioritise one customer over another and its down to LR direct in what order people get their cars so I'm intrigued to read if the dealers can shuffle customer orders around.. Regards

Got lucky today.

I had a ring around various dealers to sense check delivery times and was offered a car that had cancelled and hour earlier. I am now the owner of Borasco Grey AB with delivery end of September.

Ordered cancelled with the original dealer. ——————————————

Shouldn't the dealer have offered the car to one of his existing customers? Did you get it at list price? Tim

Ordered my RRS P460e Autobiography in Varesine blue with caraway/ebony leather late June 23. Just received a build date for middle of October 23. If all goes to plan it should take just over 4 months from point of order to customer handover. When I placed the order I was told 18-24 months so surprised how quickly things have moved… Has everyone cancelled their orders Question
