A member on here has a SDV8 low mileage for what I think is decent money.Plus the V8 is a lot more reliable than the V6

Definitely V8 so you don’t have to worry about V6 crankshaft failure, try to get 2016 on as it came with worthwhile improvements and get Euro 6 emissions so as to avoid future emissions zones like ulez. 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID |

Same comment definitely V8. You can see from my history I’ve just parted with a V6 after the salesman talked me into it. For me a no brainer RRS 4.4 SDV8 AB 2018 – Best of all previous vehicles

If you only do 6-8k miles a year, it's worth considering the V8 Supercharged. I swapped out of an SDV6 into one 18 months ago and it's the best all-round car I've ever owned and puts a huge smile on my face every time I get in it! Real world MPG for me is around 21 with 26/27 on motorway trips. Engines are fairly "bulletproof" from what I've read on here and I certainly wouldn't be able to go back to a RRS diesel having had this one... 2014 L494 V8 s/c Autobiography Dynamic |

Thanks for all the replies people...
Thanks for the link, I will have a think about this... although this being a motor I want to run for a while and the lack of Euro6 clasification may be a problem.
Nice find, really like the colour combo on this one.
I've done ok so far (I think)...guy on another forum has had two nicked and can't get cover now. I'm lucky enough to live in the countryside, securuity comes in the form of 2 sets of gates and 2 hungry Rottweilers. When out and about I'd use a disk lock. Best price I've had is £850 on Meerkat, but for a laugh I checked to see what all the fuss is about and stuck in a London postcode - price went up to £7100!
I've considered this mate, but I think I have to stick with the diesel, which I can get through my work. My current milage could change also as I'm single at present. |

Pay for warranty is the number 1 thing I tell anyone whos interested in a RRS, whether your budget is 25k or 55k , always get a decent warranty it will pay for itself.

I have an E92 M3 so if I want speed and a V8 roar, that ticks those boxes. This RRS will be my daily which I can fuel through my business as long as it's derv. |

If it's got to be diesel, the SDV8 would be ticking my boxes. The SDV6 is a nice motor but the V8 diesel is just a bit better in every respect (except weight over the front axle but it is a 2.5t 4x4 not a sports car). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
