Headlight malfunction

Hi anyone else had a headlight malfunction warning on the dash. Basically my N/S headlight is not working no lights or indicator.

Yes I had this happen to me, no lights no indicator. it was a right pain driving the short distance home with no indicator and having to use hand signals!!

I pulled the fuse for that light (under the bonnet, near the bulhead). I am 1.74m tall and needed steps to get to the fuse box as its quite well buried.

The fuse was intact, however on replacing it the light and indicator worked again, the fault has not reoccured.

The only explanation I can offer is pulling the fuse, resets the headlight control ECU and eliminates the fault.

Give it a try and see if it works for you. RRS Autobiography P440e

Hi Claud
Thanks for the info.

Called a mobile Land Rover techie to have a look.
He said there was a software issue, that's known about and the car was sending out the right fault code.
He tried to up load the software to the car, but it wouldn't take.
So the car is now in the garage awaiting repair.

Fin.

I have just now received a recall letter titled “Non-Compliance Recall - N810- Headlamp inoperative”. Fortunately Inchcape service accommodated me for this Saturday for the software update, so hopefully all will be fixed. I have seen this recall is also in place in Australia. RRS Autobiography P440e

I had the software update this morning with Inchcape Service, we shall see if the headlamp fault returns, fingers crossed. RRS Autobiography P440e
