Changing the fuel filter L494 diesel.

Well I thought that since water and bad fuel is the thing that stops most diesel when out back I should use the spare fuel filter I carry and do a change.

I carried the spare in case i need to do a road side change, but after doing a change I am not sure it would be easy to do roadside. The biggest issue is getting the black locking ring off without a vice to hold.

Anyway i did succeed and am glad i know the process. The fuel filter is the most expensive of all service filter I have fitted.

Anyway This is only the second filter in 190,000 ks. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
