Hi all is it an easy job to replace electric gas struts on a RRS 2012 and does anyone know if there's a video about it. tfn.

The struts just have a spring clip holding them on to the ball joint at each end. The wiring runs through a grommet to a connector behind the tailgate internal trim panel. So you'd need to remove (or at least free off each side sufficiently to reach the connectors) the trim panel - it's held on by the usual plastic clips so you'd probably need some spares to hand to replace the panel. The control box is also behind the trim panel on the tailgate. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If you do need to remove the trim panel completely, you will also need to remove the screws behind the handle part on the lower left corner.
