Yes you will find that they cut a hole in the tailgate to gain access to the vehicle wiring. Once exposed the can network wiring they spiked it with a specialist criminal device to tell the car to open its doors and start the engine via the stop start circuitry.. unfortunately there are auto locksmiths who are quite happy to sell these theft devices to any criminal whom asks… |

Sorry to hear this, unfortunately in this country crime does pay, I had my yard robbed and lost thousands , the scum that did it got stuck in my field and broke there front light, by the glass you could see it was a landrover they used, they even dropped a parking ticket on the ground which must have fell out the vehicle, that had the car park and the date they were there on, I handed this to the Police but all I ever got back was a crime number. |

Yes provided it was wired the right way… the early ones were wired by some technicians to the start inhibit function however by can injection the thieves can potentially bypass this using the secondary stop start circuitry…
