I've fitted non genuine inlet manifold to my 4.2 supercharger and not had no issues with them |

For the work (cost) of doing the job, I went for genuine, as the thought of getting issues with aftermarket items just wasn't worth the grief.

I can only vouch for genuine on a 3.0, but I called a shop that sells genuine and aftermarket before ordering mine. They said there were 68 warranty claims on aftermarket units and zero on genuine units with about the same sales numbers for each. I found the following on ebay from lr trade parts UK. I messaged them over a week ago and asked how have these been modified not to split, funnily enough I've had no reply

Apparently the early ones were made using two pieces of plastic that were not the same thickness, and they split at the seam where they joined.
