I fear the RRS SV is going to be a real Max Power job designed to appeal to wannabe footballer types with horribly vulgar bodywork addenda and yucky interior. Time will tell.

The real Range Rover has an SV option too and it's on the configurator like all the others. Not a mad-silly quick version, however, "just" the 530bhp in a long wheelbase for £181k. Other SVs are available including a "boring" D350.

So is there some dilution of "SV" going on? Seems like strange marketing to make the RRS SV a "we have to like you" version but the FFRR SV is simply "we like your money so here you go" one. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

650bhp in a Defender does seem a little, um, excessive. It's supposed to be their premium go-anywhere off-road king, after all.

650bhp in an RRS? Now that's an interesting prospect. I look forward to hearing that accelerate... Cool 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Shocked Shocked Shocked

I guess it will be more exclusive than the SVR at that price (which is probably what JLR are aiming for)

Seen it at length in the camo one of the test cars is being tested near me somewhere in Southern Europe.

So far, not really that impressed and even if I was, no one will insure the thing either so what's the point. Non JLR Vehicle

Ok so I have been “invited” deposit placed £5k without knowing much about the car! Strange right? I agree Laughing

Been told to expect a direct comms from SVO to arrange a visit to the factor to see some built cars in the flesh. Have signed an online NDA for now. No phones or pics will be allowed when I do get to see it…not until 31st May anyway.

All I know is that its circa £190k and dripping in carbon like an Urus Performante. Not sure if I will be taking it but can pull out so placed a deposit anyway. The car is apparently going to be “extremely rare” for the initial run with barely a handful of cars reaching UK customers.

Seems to me that JLR are doing an Urus Performante.
