3.6 TDV8 Front ACE Pipes Enquiry

Hi folks, I'm looking to purchase a set of ACE pipes for my RRS. Mine are still alright at the moment, but thought I'd be prepared. I have already experienced ACE pipe failure on my old D2 a few years ago.

With regards to my vehicle, 2010 3.6 TDV8, I've found that I need part no. LR015144. Unfortunately, no one has these in stock, but I've found that I can purchase part no. RQA500120.

Can anyone let me know if these parts are the same as they're both for 3.6.

Many thanks

They are, but the last few sets of RQA I've ordered have arrived bent and damaged

Order them in plenty of time, just in case Thumbs Up

Hi Mikey, many thanks. The only place I am currently able to order LR015144 is from LRparts and they advise a 5 to 10 week lead time in order to get them made. Are you able to get any at all.

Many thanks

I’m also in desperate need for a set as mine burst a few days ago. I’ve searched everywhere and there is no stock to be found 😭

Best advice I can give you is call the dealer and order them

Wait 24hrs, and have the dealer raise to a critical order (they will need your VIN) and you go into the queue earlier than non critical orders

We used our last set last week. Hopefully nothing breaks down between now and the next 8 weeks Neutral

I’m not familiar with the pipes, but see a lot of owners struggling to get them to keep their cars on the road.

Are they standard copper/steel pipe and if so, what diameter ? It can’t be beyond the whit of man to get a set made up at very little cost ?

I’ve made enough brake lines in my time to know it isn’t rocket science, unless there’s specialist fittings etc.

There are swaged (?, not sure of correct terminology of said fittings) with plastic clips and a bracket to secure into the valve block

Then there are 2 flexi pipes crimped onto the pipes to the bar, then specific fittings crimped into the other end

The HP pipe has a quick release connector in it, and also another flexi pipe crimped onto the steel pipe

And the return pipe has a shaped rubber hose crimped onto it, to return fluid back to the bottle

And new pipes come with the added benefit of being bent correctly to fit properly
