Blimey. That’s crazy. I’m assuming you have tried a couple of comparison sites? |

I had assumed that the security issue with RR'S was for models built before the introduction of UWB in the locks and keys.

There was an article from one of the motoring pages two days ago on the internet that was about most insurance companies refusing to insure Range Rovers in London, this is due to the amount of them being stolen more or less hinted that other major cities may follow suit. |

So what’s happening to all these RRS that are getting stolen? Broken for parts, shipped abroad? What the hell are we supposed to do if we can’t insure our cars then? Drive with no insurance? The thieves would probably get off lighter than we would if they ever get caught. Also our car prices would severely drop as no one would want to buy one for this reason. The police force need to take more action with car crime. Also manufacturers need to seriously up their game with security, ie better quality trackers etc. Also the ability to be able to disable a car with an app or something after the car has been stolen would be a great idea. Not so much that it cuts out when the vehicle is moving just when it comes to a stop. Dragons den here I come……… |

Probably parting out, as an RHD car is virtually useless in LHD countries. On the other hand, the waiting time for parts is that long, a fresh 2nd-hand part seems a plausible alternative. Regards etc., Wojtek --- WAS: 2006 RRS Supercharged IS: 2010 RRS TDV8 HSE |
