I have just discovered an oil leak on my drive, on closer inspection it seems that Oil is being forced out of the dipstick, I then reseated it, took it for a quick blast with full throttle and the dipstick popped up again. there is also vapour rising from the dipstick. Despite searching the internet I have no real idea where the Positive Crankcase Ventilation system filter or pipes are, as they may be clogged.

Not aware that this is a usual service item. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Reviving old thread, shakeapaw, Slowpoke Disco, anyone else - did you find the cause of this?

I would have loved it only be a PCV issue , that would have saved me 3 nights of reasonably tricky labour and $1000 for the rocker/intake manifold for one side. Try calling Triumph Rover in Adelaide for some advice if you have an issues as they're the ones that did my left side manifold, and at the same time replaced the thermostat housing, blanked the EGR, full service and filters and did a performance tune. Not cheap but they know their stuff. So a total of $5500 and it transformed the car and gave me enough confidence to use it on many long highway drives. |
