Pivi Pro not downloading contacts from iPhone

I took delivery of my L461 D300 about 3 weeks ago and since then I have been trying to get Pivi Pro to download Contacts from my iPhone 13 Mini. It downloads Recents without any issue and also in Apple Carplay, Contacts are downloaded but just not in Pivi Pro. I have tried forgetting and re-connecting the phone several times and tried clicking on/off download photos with contacts but nothing works. Needless to say my dealer is no help

I have googled this and it does seem to be a fairly common problem but I've followed all of the internet advice without success. Can anyone here offer any advice on this?

Does it work with other phones? If not, that suggests it a car problem. If it does, that suggests problem with your phone. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi Mike. Just tried this on Pivi Pro in our iPace. Did you get this screen on the iPhone? Obviously you have to choose to allow the contacts.

Tried it today with an iPhone 12. Have also successfully connected an iPhone 7 S Plus. No problems in either case, but this is not necessarily helpful as Mike has (a) a different car albeit also a recent JLR product with Pivi Pro; and (b) a different model phone.

Aside from confirming that he's agreeing to contact sync, this hasn't really opened up any new ideas I'm afraid. Gone: 10MY L320 RR Sport HSE, Ipanema Sand

Just to continue this story, I took my new RRS back to the dealer today and on the advice of L-R they carried out a flash update on the Pivi Pro system. Not sure why because it already had the latest version of software. The technician claimed that when he connected his own iPhone to the car in the workshop after the flash update, Pivi Pro did download his contacts but when he moved the car to the front of the dealership and tried to show me, it didnt. So we tried forgetting and reconnecting both of our phones several times but still no joy. So this matter has now been raised as a TA (technical assistance?) with L-R.

Meanwhile I have found something else to annoy me and that is the rattling of the seatbelt buckles against the adjacent plastic trim when not in use which has got worse as the miles pile on and its now happening on the rear sets as well as the front passenger one. We did check another L461 in the showroom and the buckles are in the same position so the same thing is going to happen on that car. Any ideas how this might be stopped before I go out and buy some foam and tape it to the plastic term?

Well finally this problem has been solved at least for me. I took my car back to the dealer yesterday for another flash update and hey presto my phone contacts started downloading afterwards. Not only that but I'm now getting traffic indications on the satnav and DAB radio descriptions on the dashboard

They even showed me how to work the climate control. I didnt realise that by pulling out the rotary temperature controller on the centre console you can adjust the airflow in Auto mode. Previously the fan mode in Auto mode was set to level 5 without me knowing it and blowing much harder than I wanted

So all round its happy days

PS Why isnt the car supplied with a paper operating manual that you can actually read rather than having to go online whenever you want to consult the manual?
