Poly Bushes on L494 ARB with Dynamic Pack

HI guys

Ive developed a little knock under the front some will be replacing the front lower arms and drop links using Delphi parts with 2yr warranty and whilst the guy is under there he might as well do the ARB bushes so ive order the polybush ones, just wondered how hard they are to fit and if anyone has an words of wisdom

Cheers

I wouldn't go polybush, they're just too stiff and can cause other things to fail over time.

Especially on an alu body/subframe

The steel chassis mounts are known to fracture with polys, so I'd imagine the aluminium would be even more fragile

The job looks quite easy (well doable!) So might try them and see what they feel like and can swap back to the rubber and see what the feel difference is, if there isnt much in it then might go back to the rubber and just swap them out more often if I still have the car!

The couple of Indies I spoke with said the only fit poly now as they dont get any comeback and there is less squeak on older more worn bars.

So im torn.

Update on this, I fitted the poly bushes and they do make the whole experience feel tighter i must say.

But even fitting them with lithium based grease they creak after a while and my ocd can tolerate it.

Tried the initial PTFE install they say to use to avoid squeak and creaks, normal driving isnt so much of a problem but speed bumps make it sound like something it wrong.

Easily an quickely remedied with a quick squirt of silicone spray but not for more than a few months.

So i went back to new oem rubber ones, no more creaking but not quite as postive feel but at the same time if they are that stiff they probably are grabbing more and adding wear else wear! If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!
