Finally...after months of waiting...its here....

Yes, after 3 1/2 months, I finally got ...

A price list in the post...

Oh..but hang on, its the 2006 pricelist. Why not send out a 2007 pricelist that came into effect 6 or 7 weeks ago ? Evil or Very Mad Why send out one that is out of date ?

So, nothing has changed at the dealerships then ?? Still waiting for Guy Salmon Thames Ditton to return my 3 calls from 4 months back....

Still excellent at being utterly useless

PS - Morning everyone Very Happy

Damian - I know your frustration with the sales at Thames Ditton. My salesman JD failed to return calls even when I tell him that I wanted to buy a D3 urgently! I told him the deal I had and could he match it, well no call or email so now I will never buy another car off Guy Salmon again. On the plus side their service department is very good. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

This is often the case with dealerships (of any marque) - they either have crap sales staff and a great service dept, or they have a crap service dept and great sales folks. Rarely both... Crying or Very sad

maybe the "secret" to good service is to be known to the dealer ? I get excellent service from BMW because of this ( i think anyway )

That works pretty well with the dealer/service crowd I use, problem is they just won't think of a discount on a new car so after 6 LR products from them I will be looking for a deal from somebody else when it comes to buying the next car 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Hi Damian

I had a similar situation with Thames Ditton - made me go elsewhere ! (I was down there way yesterday and see that there showroom is now a building site - major renovation going on. Maybe they'll renovate the staff too !!!)

I'd highly recommend Steve Southgate at Hadley Green Land Rover in High Barnet. I know they're probably not local to you, but its just a short hop round the M25. Their sales service was excellent, and they collect and return the car should it need to be with them fr servicing or the likes.

I got an 06 price list on Wednesday Rolling Eyes
It was linked to when I replied that yes please I would like a test drive in an SC, trouble was that LR did not tell the dealers that they were offering SC test drives, I spoke to 2 local dealers that said they were no longer running SC demo's as it worked out too expensive.
I rang LR and was told to try TRINITY (hint hint to forum member), spoke to a sales guy who said he would ring me back and never did.

I have now had three 06 price lists and a HST brochure, well done LR Rolling Eyes

Well if they can't give you a test drive then maybe if you keep looking at the price you may buy one!
