Another FBH related question I’m afraid, but one which i cannot find an answer to…..

There are 2 ways to remote control, the key fob and the in control app on MY 2017.

So what is the difference between a MY2016 and MY2017 as far as the in control app is concerned?

I would prefer the app control option as opposed to the fob from a range perspective, but it is not available. What needs to be done or can be done to add that function?

Any thoughts or comments welcome on the best way to add the remote functionality to my MY2016 car please.

Hi my car is 2015 but MY2016 and I operate the FBH via the the LR app as I don’t have a fob. I assumed the fob was for the old shape RRS as that’s what I had for my 2012 RRS.

Is it a Range Rover fob that activates the FBH?

There are 2 types of remote fob depending upon heater type, and there needs to be a receiver in the car.

Mmmm I wonder why mine has the app but not the fob and vice versa then?

i did have it on the in control app as well but let it expire as i never used it

So it won’t work if I don’t pay the subscription? That’s rubbish. Mines up for renewal next year and wasn’t going to renew. I wonder if it’s a simple job to get a fob paired to my car ?. I’ll do some research.

you can still program it via the infotainment screen if you go out at the same time every day etc
I just find the remote more suited to my use
