So I replaced the wiper blades a year ago for Bosch Aerotwin after reading all the good reviews on the forums and first impressions weren’t good, they cleaned well obviously but we’re very noisy on change of direction, done my head in.

I’ve preserved with them for a year but have just replaced them with some hybrid blades that are so much quieter and sit closer to the screen so look better also…….they clean well too.

If the recommendation is to replace the blades every 6 to 12 months I won’t be spending £20 on Bosch again. Steve

I fitted the Bosch Aerotwin, binned them after a fortnight as they were crap and I couldn't put up with the noise, fitted some Michelin Stealth Hybrid been as good as gold and quite.

I had the same result as Steve and Col, very noisy blade operation. I don't think Bosch has a quality control department given the number of complaints about these blades. Put my old blades back on and the silence is golden! MY2006 / 2.7TDV6 HSE / CAIRNS BLUE

Are people using 22" for both, or 22" offside with a 21" on the nearside?
The reason I ask is I bought these "Valeo First Multi-Connect Wiper Blade FM55 22 Inch" in August and they were fine when I fitted them, however, they now judder and the N/S blade doesn't clear the top 2" when it gets to the top of it's stroke. The big problem with that is that it doesn't clear the sensor and on auto they go into high speed because they think the screen is obscured. The last set were both 22" fitted by the indi I was using and worked well until one split.
They are going in the bin shortly but In was wondering if a 21" on the N/S would help.

22" both sides, never had a problem exept for the crap bosch blades.

Have Bosch Aero Twins on all my cars, never had or have problems, the only time I did was when I ordered late at night and got some that were AeroTwin copies.

If the wiper arm isn't parallel to the screen, no matter what you have fitted, it will be noisy and judder.

I use the Bosch blades without the juddering issue being described by others. Indeed, I fitted new blades front and rear only last week.

I wonder what screen wash people are using, as I have found some screen washes cause juddering. I use rain-x screen wash which also allows minimal wiper use at speed.

As for changing blades once a year, that seems to be rather a long period between changes. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

This type of thread has been going on for a number of years. After reading earlier ones I decided to go for OEM blades. No problem & I also use Rain X. At speed you don't need to use wipers & at slow speeds the occasional flick is all you need. Also, I can't remember the last time I used the screen wash Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e

I used a fair amount of screen wash yesterday as the roads were damp and covered with grot (rural roads), meaning the spray behind other vehicles was half water, half grot. In the week since I previously topped up the screen wash, I've used about a litre (I topped it back up this morning whilst cleaning the grot off the lights).

I use the Rain-X screen wash which gives a good cleaning ability and puts Rain-X on the glass so the water beads and runs off well at speed. Doesn't help on rural roads where you're following slower traffic and the grot is thrown up on the screen, however. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Fitted Bosch on the RRS & our Subaru , absolutely no problems at all .

I'm also a Bosch user and I've never experienced a problem with them.

Steve, are the hybrid blades you are using the Michelin ones like Col has fitted? Kev

Just like to point out it wasn’t juddering that was the problem it was the noise they made in operation/change in direction was loud.

Had a stack of RainX blades thrown on when I bought my Sport 3 years ago…. Ever felt like they did that great of a job but they were free. Added a rear Bosch blade a few months ago and it’s been fine, just picked up front Bosch blades this week and have yet to install….hoping better than the RainX ones! 2011 Range Rover Sport GT Limited Edition/Santorini Black 5.0 Liter
