Someone who stores cars with me has an LR for his wife with the 2.0 Ingenium engine in it.

Due to oil dilution problems (she only does short journies), it's got issues which his indie garage puts down to excessive crankcase pressure.

He has warranty with Warrantywise, and his indie has a good relationship with them, however they (the garage) have advised he does not contact them with the problem as is, due to them likely to claim it hasn't failed, and it's up to him to remedy the problem.

Also, should it go bang in the future, they will get out of it by saying he knew there was a problem and continued to drive the car, so you're not covered.

The car is to be 'trailered to the indie with engine failure' in the new year.
