Only 12moth Recovery on New RRS

Can’t believe only 12month recovery on the new RRS .

Hi Blackbird, please see attached picture which i have taken from the digital handbook of my new RRS. Seems to state that roadside assistance is available throughout the warranty period. I do know that the in control pro benefits such as the tracker are only for 1 year unless you purchase the additional cover. Maybe the magazine are confusing it with that?

I've just taken the wife's Vauxhall Grandland X for its 3yr service and because I took it to a Vauxhall main dealer. they have extended the "complimentary" RAC recovery. Maybe it's a condition of the recovery that you have it serviced at a MD, and it will be extended.

Auto Express have always been fans of the Audi Q7 and don't really seem to like anything that isn't an Audi (or a VAG brand in general). They continue to tout the "it's unreliable" line, too, when referring to the RRS. All very lazy journalism from them really.

It's interesting to see that the RRS doesn't even make their "best SUV" shortlist (the Defender does) where supermarket trolleys from the mainstream manufacturers do. Half of them can barely tow a trailer bigger than a little single axle domestic thing, let alone a tin tent or a utility trailer. The U in SUV stands for Utility but most of them are just cars with tall bodies and have no more utility value than a standard car. See above about lazy journalism. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi

In the UK looks like it is still 3 year warranty and breakdown cover.

RAC (and others) coverage isn't that pricey. If free recovery meant using a LR main dealer, I'd use an indie and pay for my own RAC. I'd still be better off. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
