Headlight Bulbs

What HID's are folks fitting when the oe ones fail? Haven't failed as yet! I always carry spare bulb kits for those times!
I probably don't mind to much.... 🙉 going to LR for a pair if thats the ones.

I have a set of Osram ones here but they don't fit
in the bulb holders for full beam. 😂🙉😢

There are two bulbs - the HID one and an H7 "fill in" bulb that only comes on with main beam (it isn't "the main beam").

If you look on the top of the headlight, where the clear front plastic laps over the body of the headlight unit, you'll see which bulbs are fitted as it's embossed in the clear plastic. You might need to check both units as it can be faint.

The H7 is indicated at the left of the picture (this is the nearside headlight on a 2008 TDV8), and the HID is at the right (you can just see "D1S" at the right hand end of the light unit). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They would be illegal for road use in the UK. They are available but for "show purposes only" or similar "please don't sue us" wording. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
