I was made to sign when preferring think it was a £20k penalty. However when I collected mine they said that you’ll just receive a lifetime ban from buying a JLR product. Not sure they will police this and how. |

Trust me, even if buying corporate to avoid previous private aches with the dealer, they do conduct a thorough research. Regards etc.,

I was told quite categorically that if I did not sign then I would not be allowed to purchase?? I cannot see how this piece of paper is enforcable ? As if purchased on a PCP then it is a tri party agreement, I have raised this with Land Rover Finance and they have never heard of such a condition of sale? |

A contract is a contract, but the actual wording will probably show if it can be used in a court of law. Personally, I don't see the problem - it will limit the amount of "chancers" who buy to sell on at greatly increased prices - those very same "chancers" disliked by many on here. |

What happens if the dealer asks you to sell it back to them at a profit to you. Porsche offered me over list to buy my 911 back.

Yes the dealers would be more than happy to have a new RRSport to sell on at ridiculous mark up, I had a conversation with a salesman and said I do not understand how JLR/Dealers can be up in arms regarding resale ?

Thats interesting, I thought that the Autobiography models were not available, 140k for an autobiography doesn't seem excessive, depending on spec ?? |

What a Joke, good old JLR looking after its customers as usual, it is standard practise for dealers to teat their loyal customers with contempt.

I am surprised your consumer laws allow such a thing. You are buying the vehicle so ownership transfers to the buyer - it is not like computer software and some music where ownership is retained by the seller you you are effectively just buying a licence to use the item.

I am asking the same question, I understand that my PCP is a tri party agreement between the dealership, finance company and myself, JLR Financial services have confirmed that they are unaware of this practise, also they have no paperwork relating to this?
