NOW FIXED it was the centre prop mount

I have a rattle under the car, if I hit an uneven road (broken up tarmac, dropped manhole etc) I get a rattle. It sounds like a spanner dropped and sitting on the undertray (it's not I have taken them off for now) its kind of like a braking back plate rattling but deeper, a bit like exhaust baffles but again deeper, it's more like I would ecpect to hear from loose side steps (i have checked and its not that as well)

I am sure its from the front end but lets not assume just that just i case, bottom arms have been chaged as well.

ARB bushes look ok I can't get any movement in the arm (I don't have ASC) I changed the drop links as had been suggested but was not that.

Does anyone have any ideas about what else to check, I can only hear it when the windows are open.

I had similar issue, however combined with rear bushes being goosed I got under the car and eventually found it to be the rear propshaft!
Noise was similar to as you say a spanner tapping. I described it as something hitting the exhaust pipe. However! The actual cv behind the propshaft centre bearing is in my case the culprit. Prop was a recon one 3 months ago cheap and not very good quality tbh. Original will be refitted this weekend (new centre support bearing fitted) along with two rear upper arms and two front ones.

Was this ever fixed, it would upset me a noise like that.

It will be fixed on Saturday morning. I actually took a video under the car whilst getting the propshaft to replicate the noise.
Was a HUGE relief! It has however prompted me to lookmfor recon box, trans box and possible front and rear diffs as well
as new torque convertor. Be good to have them in stock then it would be a planned overhaul. Car has done 125k miles, its fresh and has been looked after but I'm aware it is
eating into it's lifespan.

Thank you! I genuinely love the RR only thing just now I'd replace it for would be a 4.2 or 5.0SC one 😂 Yeah been operating dozers for few
years now. Actually really enjoy it, prob not many people can say that 18-ish years into a job!

I have a soft spot for Dozers, Excavators and the like as i've been repairing and Painting them for the past 20 odd years.
I have also just brought a RRS 5.0 SC but haven't had it long enough to say what it's like only it is very quick on acceleration.
