Xenon Headlight part numbers

Does anyone know what the difference is with the 2 different part number xenon headlamps available (and I don't mean left & right Rolling Eyes ). I want to swap my standard lights for xenons and can get a set cheap but part number appears to be for an earlier VIN than mine.

One set of part number will be for the adaptive xenons that will not work properly on your car the other will be for standard xenons.
Best thing is to have a word with a dealer, although it is not too clear on their system the adaptives are a fair bit more expensive.

Thanks Cliff

Would the standard xenons still fit & work? (I know not adaptive but working on the theory that any xenon better than the standard lights Confused ). I can get a brand new pair of standard xenons for <800EUR (down here they are normally that each Evil or Very Mad ).

Cheers.

This is one of the part numbers for the lights I can get

XBC501702LZN

Does anyone know if this is the adaptive or standard part number. It is different to the numbers Driller had so not sure if they will fit as a direct replacement for standard halogens or not Crying or Very sad . How do you know if they are adaptive by looking at them?

pretty easy really, the adaptive look like they have a swivel surrounding the xenon headlight while the normal bixenons are a smooth close fit..... If that makes sense?
