I’ve had a chat with my dealer, I’m due a ‘launch’ car, he just told me currently all new RRS are on hold. That could change at any time I imagine |

I have been told today that I will be getting one of 4 launch cars in Sept. ahead of my specced car. As you can imagine I am delighted! The car is built to Land Rovers spec and does not come with a tow bar. The dealer said the price would be about £3k for an electronic one! Is that right, seems like a huge amount? |

That does sound expensive. I think the electrically deployed option is just over £1000 and it is a dealer accessory. |

Sounds about right - when I bought my HST, the quote from the dealer was the same. Unlike when building the car, they just add a different rear underneath to the bumper which provides the slot for the towbar to fit in, you have to replace this Parton the original bumper if not done at the factory. Sort of makes sense, effectively your paying for 2 rear bumper underneaths - not sure what the right term is for the part, one with the car and then one which works with the towbar! |

My car was supposed to be delivered next month and have been told this morning it has been unslotted due to semiconductor issues with the Meridian audio. Apparently all cars not just the Sports have been affected.

My dealer said 2 of their launch cars were removed from the system and he doesn’t know why. Seems like luck of the draw at the moment!! Bloody tough when you get excited! |

Concerning on the Meridian stereo. I have noticed that they have removed the option to upgrade stereo. |

I have had a letter and it relates to delays due to the sound system which is standard on the cars so it doesn't sound great dealer confirms no build date or slot allocated to me yet.
