I have an 2015 Sport which has the electric tower with the extend button in the boot - when the towbar extends I cant find the electrics - I assume that as this is the auto tower there would be electrics as well not just the bar? 2016 Range Rover Sport SDV6 autobiography (MY17)

The electrics are on a swivel and need pulling down, they are on the right hand side of the towbar

The electrics swivel down, as PhilMid says, with spring assistance.
I use my tow bar maybe three or four times a year and the last time, I had to use a pry bar to swing the electrics down. Had a good look at it, tried working it up and down with wd40, but it remains very stiff. So stiff in fact that upon retraction of the tow bar it was unable to push the electrics up ahead of the bar and I had to push the plugs back up before the tow bar could complete its retraction successfully. This post reminds me to have another go at freeing it up 2016 L494 HSE
