Hi All,

I have a 2016 RRS SVR, every now and then I go outside the house to find all 4 windows fully open and the screen for the glass roof also fully open.

Whilst the glass roof screen being open isn't a problem, the windows being open obviously is. It happened last night, and it rained quite heavily, this morning the car interior was quite wet!

Any ideas please?

Are you sure you are not activating the global opening when you unlock the car in some way?

This is the 3rd RRS I have owned, & I've never heard of Global opening, I guess I best read the handbook, but no, both keys were sitting on my desk all night and nobody touched them.

The 'Land Rover Remote' phone app alerts me if the car is unlocked, and I got no message.

I went outside this morning (keys still sitting on desk) and saw that the windows were all open. Unfortunately, because the interior was soaked, I quickly went and got a key, in order to close the windows, and did so without checking if doors were still locked or not, before grabbing the door handle.

This has only happened 4 times since I have owned the car (18 months), so it is a bit random!

My mistake, was thinking of the L320, if you hold the unlock button pressed for three seconds or so it opens all the windows, but I think It has to be activated in the vehicle setup menu first.

On my L494 the global opening can be set in the menu to either just open the windows or to just close them or open and close depending on what you have ticked, as Col says you just hold the buttons for 3 seconds to operate it.
