Suspension issues are piling up

So the suspension issues are starting to get up there.

I realistically need to replace all 4 struts(only need two but both right side front/rear so worth doing all), all upper and lower control arms or atleast replace the bushes, thinking maybe polybushes for a firmer ride imo.

Is there anything else I shoulda sort while I do all this? Thinking the anti roll bars bushes as well.

Also doing the bushes, should I just save myself the effort of taking out the old bushes from the control arms and just buy new control arms? but they do seem like a pretty penny, so would it be better to just buy a kit £400 and get a tool to make the extraction easier?

was thinking this kit

https://www.polybush.co.uk/polyurethane-su...port-l320/

also got a bit of play in the steering, so makes me wonder if the steering rack is done. Already did the whole lube up the joint a few times, so add control rods to that.

then its another £900 for the struts.

it's had an engine rebuild so seems worth dumping the money in imo

also have I missed anything out that'll need doing? i mean i'll be ordering new nuts/bolts/screws from dealer as well since mine are caked in rust.

The problem with the arm bushes is that the bolts can and do seize requiring the arms being cut off. Which means you'd need a new arm anyway. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

is there any arms that already have polybushes? which am guessing won't be OEM but so be it.

Don't polybush it. They are too harsh, and have been known to cause the arms and chassis brackets/mounts to crack Shocked

Stick with HD or OE arms and bushes Thumbs Up

I originally fitted a new set of arms which already had polybushes fitted, not sure what make the actual bushes were though, put up with the harshness for couple of weeks, then binned them and replaced arms with a pair of Meyle HD ones with rubber bushes. No problems since. Luckily only had to cut one bolt first time round.

Cheers

Slightly hijacking, sorry. Do you guys have part numbers for the Meyle HD bushes or arms? I need bushes for my 2011 RRS, but searching has found nothing but one HD bush part number for the rear upper control arm. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

ah no polybushes eh? am tempted to wait till next spring now tbh so I can just get it on 4 jack stands and ill have my other car back by then.

i just dunno if the air compressor will last that long since theres defo a leak. removing the fuse/relay and drove it for a couple of days the right side deflated. already did the valve block refurb. so probably leaking bags.

can you smoke test the bags?

Superpro aren't to be compared to polys, they are far superior

I have a full set in my own D3 Wink

But, they aren't cheap, and you can't buy them ready fitted into a set of arms from a mainstream supplier

Can someone link to the superpro ones that are compatible please. because new control arms cost a pretty penny. so i can't imagine the bushes costing as much.
