Hi all, I am new to the site & have a question, I have a 2013 L320 & want to fit electrics to go with a tow bar for the caravan I purchased which is an Inos made by the fifth wheel company in Wales, it has LED lights and I am struggling to get a wiring kit for my particular year of car, they do one up to 2011 that also fits the discovery 4 2009-17 but not after 2011 for mine as far as I can see. Some people say that their caravan lights work fine with a normal kit & some say not on other forums. I would be very greatfull for any input or advice on this. Many thanks & nice to be part of the community!!!! |

To get around the LED indicators the usual fix for these cars is to fit 2 relays and 2 load resistors to the caravan.

The L/R part numbers for the towing harness on a MY13 L320 are 13 Pin VPLST0071 & 12 N/S VPLST0070. You should be able to cross reference these to a aftermarket part number.

I have a PF Jones kit on mine IIRC - it works just fine; no LEDs on my old trailer but I do notice they have an LED-trailer specific 7-pin kit for 2010 cars.. perhaps they could adapt that for a later loom? 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |
