How come the new heavier Full Fat is so much quicker - especially the D350?

the new FFRR is havier than my L494 D350. I don't know if they have done something on the transmission

in the link you see a youtube video with a test of the RRS D350. on 5:54 you see the value from 0-100km/h with brake-hold of 6.69s.

more interesting is, how the new Ingenium Diesels are accelerating (60-100, 80-120 etc.). It's really impressive how this engine accelerates the RRS..
I am a total fan of the new inline-six Diesels. I had a BMW with an inline-six, after that the SDV6 L494 and now the D350 L494.
JLR is doing a great job with the engines at the moment..

I believe the new engines have electrically assisted turbochargers which spool up quicker. 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID

The inline-six Diesels (Ingenium) are the same in new Range Rover generation as it was in the latest L494 and L405. there is no difference...  Range Rover Sport HST D350
