Settings menu is the clue. If it allows multiple "surround sound" options, you are good.

Try the different settings, I find the 825W Meridian system to be a good 'un. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

On the 825W system I find the Dolby setting preferable.

Hi guys I’m trying to find what sound system I have as I’m a bit confused - mines a 2014 HSE Dynamic - Meridian speakers in front and rear and speakers in the parcel shelf so I’m guessing the 825w unit but although I can see the Meridian, Dolby and Neo sound options I can’t select them? Mines seems to be stuck on Stereo and there’s no option for surround sound??
It’s a strange one and I can’t find anything on the internet.
This is how my audio setting screen looks…

Any pointers guys?

Just checked another VIN decoder and it says I have this option : In Car Entertainment / Speakers - Premium Audio [025LN]
Which I presume is the Meridian mid range system 825w.

I just don't know why I can't select the optional sound setting in audio???!!! Is there a reset I can do?

I think you need to ask if anyone has a PDF of the relevant brochure for your year.
There are 3 Meridian systems currently and the 825 watt is called Meridian Surround system. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

Thanks Jim 👍🏻.

Thinking my only option left is to goto the main dealer and ask them
To check it out, I’ve checked a few YouTube videos/instructionals
Etc but can’t seem to diagnose why I can’t select the meridian options

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Adriatic Blue

From the photo, you have the Meridian 825w system unless you have two small rectangular (ish) grilles in front of the sun visors and in the roof above the rear load space in which case you have the 1700W Signature Reference system and a massive grin on your face! 2014 L494 V8 s/c Autobiography Dynamic

hi all just a quick update on the audio issue - I have this video on youtube regarding swapping the amps;

If my amp was faulty I presume I would have no sound at all?

My next step is to check the wiring to make sure theres no loose connections - is the sub located under the drivers seat?

Found a way for it to sound slightly better...

So mine must have the middle meridian system as I have the 3 options Meridian, Dolby etc
But can’t select these options :/

United Kingdom

I was so disappointed with the standard setup in my 2104(64) Range Rover Sport HSE.
I was surprised the HSE did not come with a meridian system as standard.
(I’d previously owned a 2012 Vogue SE and a 2010 Range Rover Sport both having the Harman Kardon fitted)
There was literally no bass in the standard system, I took mine to Autosounds in Newcastle and the fitted a subwoofer. I was given the option of two speakers 8” or 10” only a small price difference between them so I opted for 10”.
It’s hidden behind the trim in the boot (on passenger side) If you have rear entertainment it can’t be fitted there though.
It cost £700 but they made a great job, the control is inside the centre console storage and they sunk it into the panel next to USB sockets so it looks like it was always meant to be there, not retro fitted.
What a difference. I’ve turned the bass to zero on main system, they suggested to let the car audio amplifier concentrate on the mid/treble and the sub, which has its own control, do the bass.
For a hassle free install and a significant improvement to the standard system I can’t recommend it enough.
