bluetooth phone dialing durring call

is there anyway to use the numberpad while you are in a call? Like if you make a call to customer service and it tells you to press one for english and so on, the number pad doesnt seem to work. is there anyway to change that?

I have been disapointed by this too. As far as I can determine, it won't work. AC

It works just fine, even though you may not hear the tones. I use it all the time to delete /.replay messages from my voice mailbox.

hmm...you are right it does seem to work now, I wonder why it didn't work the first time.

Anyways since I don't have the manual with me, is there anyway of dialing a number faster from the voice dial? Do i realy have to go "phone dial name" then say name then say yes or no? Thats a whole lot of steps just to dial an already programmed name. I guess I am going to have to start memorizing peoples numbers so I can just punch it in through the keypad.

That's the way voice recognition works, I'm afraid there is no faster way to dial through it. I guess it's less annoying than being connected real fast to the wrong number because the system misunderstood your prompt, but it is not exactly lightning fast, I agree. You can always use the one-touch dial keys on your handset for the handful of numbers you call all the time, but of course that means reaching for the phone. I end up doing just that when calling my voice mail, my home or my office, press and hold 1, 2 or 3 and then Bluetooth takes over.

Also, you can say "Phone redial" to dial the last number you called...

Just got my RRS with phone cradle installed a couple of days ago.

Here's my experience:

- Voice recognition works about 85% of the time for me, slower to dial out but I believe safer as you do not have to fidget with the phone while driving

- With phone cradle, the Nokia 6230i works well, as you can scroll through the phone's phonebook to access more numbers, but you can't pay full attention to driving....not the best idea

- Bluetooth works well for me so far as I have a 2nd mobile phone that I usually carry around. But I haven't found a easy to disconnect the cradled phone in order to use the Bluetooth phone. Maybe someone has some suggestions.

- Keypad works with BT phone, though no sound is coming from the speakers

- If you use BT, fast way to dial might be to set speed dial or voice dialing on the phone, then go thru the speaker system to talk
