New here but had my RRS for a while, I was driving home today no massive issue until I stopped outside the house.

When I rev the engine it has this whine noise, I have left a link as it describes what I can’t. But it sounds like a supercharger.

Update: went outside and now it is running fine, the normal big noise as you’d expect, then sat idling for a few minutes it’s back to whining.

Could anyone please give me a steer? When you look at the front of the engine the noise is coming from the left hand side.

Check alternator is charging correctly.

Ok thanks, I forgot to mention that there has been no loss of power, no warning lights and no smoke.
