As above, insurance companies don’t recognise the ghost. Which baffles me as surely a system preventing the theft is better than one which doesn’t (ie a tracker).

Get a ghost anyway and at least you have peace of mind, albeit a slightly more expensive premium 🤷‍♂️😂.

Thanks for the replies, I had the ghost fitted a few months ago,and I echo the comments, definitely recommend getting that fitted for your own piece of mind.

Is an independent tracker better for insurance than the Land Rover one? The JLR website says.....

You are correct in saying any s5 /s7 is good enough for an insurer discount. The reason people are suggesting an independently fitted one instead is that the thieves know where the factory fitted ones are put.
