To pay nearly £2k for a warranty then "hope" it covers a component sounds like madness, if the price isn't an issue then surely you should establish whether the crank shaft is covered or not !! If the price is an issue try Motoreasy, I'm on my 3rd year with them and about £15k in claims so far. |

To be honest apart from not the quickest to respond I'm very happy with the service from them. MY2010 TDV6 had a preliminary health check before the warranty was started, no issues found so my Plan B cover was activated. Pay £800/yr 80+k on my vehicle, I pay for diagnostics at 1 hour £60, if it's a covered component that's refunded, then I pay £50 xs per claim. As i said earlier I've had about £15k spent on mine, recon engine, 2 turbos, air compressor, both inlet manifolds etc (not normally coverd but failed after recon fitted) |

I too wouldn’t pay £2K for the warranty but I have paid the £970 renewal quote I got through the post. There is an excess of £150 per claim. It does state that the crank shaft is covered on the itemized list so I don’t see how they could wriggle out of a claim if it ever did happen. |

My policy on my 2010 TDV6 was/is the Plan B policy, if you google Motoreasy then look on their website for the plan B it'll show you what's covered, I took my policy out in Jan 2020 at a cost of £800/yr, 2021 was same price as was 2022. The deal I got included what's called removal of the "betterment" clause, basically that's where dependant on vehicle age/mileage you pay a percentage of the repairs cost, all I pay is £60 for diagnostics of a fault and £50 per claim, if the fault is covered the £60 is returned. I can't guarantee this "betterment" clause point is still available however but it's worth asking. Their number 0800 131 0001. |
