What styles wheels are these plus new tyres

I'm in the process of saving this neglected supercharged iv bought off of a sort of mate. I'm working my way around the car sorting anything that needs doing apart from a full service and other items obviously the cheap crap tyres he had fitted are comming off. I'm not up on rrs tyres style currently running 275 40 20 which I intend on swopping out for 255 55 20 genral grabber at3s my go to tyre for my L322 and D3.
Just wanted to check, yes iv been doing research on here, far to much so I'm just asking the forums experts, will these new tyres go straight on ?

Picture of badly curbed wheel and this is not even the worse 1

I’m not sure the 255’s will fit. Those alloys are 9.5J. I have the same alloys but on 275’s. Somebody else will be along shortly though and correct my misinformation, just in case Mr. Green 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Those wheels are 9.5" wide, you need 8.5" for 255 tyres.

I have these that will suit should you want to purchase some.

Thanks for the advice and offer dave, I'm going to refurb these for now and spend all my pennies on full service and tyres for now and keep a little bit back for anything unexpected, after all its a landrover

No problem, I'd fit 275/45 tyres, they offer a better ride than the 40 series.

Yep I run 275/40’s and I think they’re fine, but others have upped them to 45 to give a bit more sidewall. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Best option would be 275/45r20’s as been mentioned before, they are a better ride than the 40 profile & give a bit more protection.
If you want to go to 55 profile then you need to drop down to 19’s,,if you do go to 19’s make sure you get the right rims iirc their is only only type that will clear the brembo callipers if that’s what’s fitted. Andy.
