I already know im going to have to look into the finer details of my 'contract', but just wondering if anybody has had it done by Autoglass ect and wondering if they replace like for like (heated) or if its just replaced as basic?

Like for like, I just paid the £95 excess.

They'll fit a heated one but it will be their own cheap imported version. BTDT. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Spoke to my insurance company (LV) and told them I only wanted genuine L/R screen which they eventually agreed to. Autoglass twice turned up with a cheapo imported screen, told them to go away as they were not fitting it, third time they turned up with low and behold a genuine L/R screen. Sometime later their customer service rang up asking about their service which I politely told them what I thought of it, at which they gave me a £50.00 refund on my excess for the trouble I'd had.

Worth trying it on.

most insurance companies should do like for like on windscreen
like col I had autoglass out 3 times to do mine on my old p38 first was wrong screen second time just one chap came not two and had a none heated one finally 3rd time but I had to reconnect the heated screen wires as the bolt was corroded and they was scared incase it snapped
