Anxious about robbery rate

Hi guys,
New to the forum but been reading/researching for some time. I’ve been saving for years for a RRS as this is my dream car. Hoping to order one in the next 12 months or so (new shape) but I’m anxious about the risk of it being stolen. Apparently it’s the most stolen car in the UK. What are everyone’s thoughts on this? Have many people had theirs stolen?
I’m anxious that I’ve saved for many years for my dream car but with high risk of it being stolen, is it worth my life’s savings?!?

Thanks.

That is a "how long is a piece of string" question
If someone really wants it, they will take it, whether its taken off your drive, broken into, breaking into your house or lifting it off the street onto a low loader.
On the bright side, they are not all stolen. When insuring it, get GAP insurance at the same time which will make up any shortfall. Do you really want it back if stolen?
People on here swear by a Ghost immobiliser. Security lights, cameras at your house, gates, posts on your drive that prevent it being taken. Keys in a Farady pouch or in a tin can, Krook lock, disc lock. Jammed in by another car. The list is endless.
You can have so much on it you will have to get up an hour earlier to unlock it.
Buy the car if you want it, enjoy it & don't worry about mibee yes, mibee no Thumbs Up

If you buy one of the first of the new model then be prepared to become good friends with the service team!

I would wait 12 months for the bugs to be sorted if it was me, that's why I have just taken delivery of one of the outgoing model. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

Look up the general crime figures in your area, a huge element of the risk of any property being stolen depends upon where you live and how visible your driveway is.
Enjoy the car for what it is, if you worry too much about it being stolen (or breaking down) then perhaps its not for you. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

Out of interest what command buttons are used on a RRS to set your pin?
I’ve had a ghost on 2 different cars and the commands have all differed

When you buy the Ghost it will be explained to you, I certainly wont discuss that on any forum for obvious reasons.
You have had it on 2 other cars so you know how good it is, you know what to expect regarding code input etc why dont you have it on your RRS?

I don’t have it on my RRS yet as it doesn’t turn up for another 4 weeks.

I will put the ghost from from my outgoing GLC in to the RRS when it arrives, they charge £200 for the swap.

I was speaking with someone who had his RR stolen but managed to retrieve it. He said the thieves bypassed his ghost and tracker bit didn’t find his hidden apple air tag!! He simply found the vehicle via his phone and took it back.

I was reliably informed by the installer (who had a RR himself) "Unless the scallywags knows where the Ghost is fitted so it can be removed, its impossible to bypass it, even then there is some sort of anti tamper protection which he would not discuss further Rolling with laughter
